Finally, after years of doubt and uncertainty, Stella McCartney, debuted a menswear line in London, presenting the SS2017 collection.
The brand, owned at 50% by Kering Group, not only presented the new men’s RTW collection, but also a line of accessories, bags, shoes and eyewear. All pieces will be almost immediately available at www.stellamccartney.com and worldwide in boutiques from January.
The starting point for this men’s project, says McCartney, was the idea of “ the man that inspires the Stella McCartney woman”. In fact, the collection combines a young English subculture, from punk to brit-pop, rap and the post grunge style of the 1990s. The 24 looks shown, moves from sportswear to tailored looks and throughout, runs the idea of McCartney’s eco-friendly philosophy. “Nice One”, “ Tomorrow” and “Members and Non-Members”, are amongst the collection’s slogans, printed on Tshirts, sweatshirts and bomber jackets, sure to be seen on the English fashion dandys as they exit another rave party!
