Shoes are girls best friends, a tool of feminine empowerment and a womanhood’s icon, but also a source of torture and pain, and the perfect way to take human body to stylistic extremes.
This Fall of 2015 Shoes, Pleasure and Pain at the Victorian Albert Museum in London will explore the extremes of footwear, presenting more than 200 pairs of shoes revisiting history from a fashion’s point of view; from ancient gold embellished Egyptian sandals to the boldest designs from contemporary makers.
Hosted by Clarks and Agent Provocateur the exhibit will also study and feature examples of the latest footwear developments and technologies alongside famous shoe wearers and collectors testimonials all together in a footwear galore that every shoe freak will definitely love.
