Originated by the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Savage Beauty a retrospective of Lee Alexander McQueen´s work will be edited and expanded for the V&A. It will feature 30 additional garments, including some rare early pieces, the holographic 3d image of Kate Moss in a gown of rippling organza will also be shown thanks to the collaboration of Gainsbury and Whiting the production company that worked in staging McQueen catwalk shows.
The exhibition will showcase more than 200 ensembles and accessories, the largest number of individual pieces designed by McQueen and collaborators ever seen together.
From March the 14th until the 2nd of August Savage Beauty will be open at the V&A in London.
