Photissima

Event

Photissima has now reached its fourth edition starting from 8 - 30 November 2014. 
Photissima is the first event in Italy, engaging both a fair and a festival, exclusively and entirely devoted to photography. 
The project was conceived by the Foundation Artevision and its director Rendine Telemachus and has established itself as a National and International reference point for artistic photography and the cultural debate that is involved around it.
So far, important collaborations have been enabled with agencies and institutions, which enhance the cultural value of the event. To name a few: Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, IED, Italian Institute Of Photography, University of Turin, Technical University of Genova.
On a more International level: the Photo, the international photo exhibition in Los Angeles, the Lucie Foundation, which annually nominates and awards the best photographers in the world with the Lucie Award, and the Backlight Festival, the Finnish photo festival. 
On a different note, the Photissima Art Fair & Festival is an exciting and educational way to introduce the students to the world of photography and art; is a way to get acquainted with different actors which are related not only with photography but also with culture along with its many declinations.
